In response to years of fan suggestions over too many sword characters in Tremendous Smash Bros. Final, collection creator Masahiro Sakurai launched a particular Smash Bros. Direct this week.
Sakurai started the stream by stating the followers’ complaints had “deeply affected” him on an emotional stage, and he solemnly swore to by no means add one other sword person.

Across the 32-minute mark, he brandished a real-life sword and sliced an enormous “X” into Zagreus from Hades. “It’s uncanny how among the coolest characters use sword weapons. Oh nicely!” laughed Sakurai as he grinded his heel into a photograph of Kingdom Hearts’ Sora whereas “Easy And Clear” performed within the background.
Sakurai ended the video in dramatic style: by setting fireplace to a photograph of Waluigi holding what seemed to be a crudely Photoshopped image of Excalibur.
